2009 DODGE RAM 2500 TRUCK |

Dodge RAM 2500 Pickup Truck
Big, brash and powerful, nothing represents America as much as a full-size, heavy-duty pickup. The 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 lineup also boasts big-rig styling and, in the Mega Cab, rear-seat room and comfort that rival a limousine's.
An interior redesign from a few years ago retains the Ram 2500's freshness, while the available 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel gives the Ram 2500 massive towing and hauling potential. Packing 350 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the big six-cylinder diesel gives the Ram 2500 a maximum towing capacity of 13,350 pounds.
For off-road excursions, Dodge offers the Ram Power Wagon, which comes with driver-controlled, electrically locking front and rear differentials, an electronically disconnecting front antiroll bar, 33-inch off-road tires, a 12,000-pound winch and unique suspension tuning.

The Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup provides something for everyone with the choice of two engines (including a Cummins diesel), three cab styles (regular, Quad and Mega cabs), two wheelbases and either 4x2 or 4x4 drive types. Available safety features include dual front airbags, curtain airbags, stability control, anti-lock brakes and tire pressure monitoring. Options include a navigation system, power adjustable pedals, power sunroof, rear seat video entertainment system, remote start system, U-connect wireless connectivity, and Sirius satellite radio. The available Sport Appearance Group features chrome-clad alloy wheels and body-color fascias.
The 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 lineup offers bold styling, powerful 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engines, larger brakes, a functional cabin and a comfortable ride, making it a solid choice for heavy-duty-truck users.
Driving Impressions
Although it's built to take on the most demanding tasks, the 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 is still a surprisingly comfortable truck for daily use. Its steering is light and its turning circle is smaller than that of other heavy-duty trucks. Ride quality is also relatively compliant and nearly as comfortable as that of most half-tons. The V8 is a competent all-around engine, but for serious towing and hauling (plus decent fuel economy), the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel is essential.
